A

Water-soluble vitamins, such as the B-complex and vitamin C, can be absorbed with or without food, and any excess is excreted in urine. In contrast, fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K require dietary fat for optimal absorption, as fat in meals stimulates bile release necessary for their uptake.
