Q

How does dietary protein compare to BCAA supplements?

A

Dietary protein is a far more effective and cost-efficient source of the same amino acids found in BCAAs. If you are consuming adequate protein, typically between 1.6 to 2.2g (0.1 oz) per kilogram of body weight daily, you already have sufficient levels of leucine, isoleucine, and valine. In such cases, BCAA supplementation does not provide any significant additional benefits.
