Intra-workout nutrition is primarily relevant for endurance athletes training for over 90 minutes at sustained effort and bodybuilders engaging in very high-volume sessions while in a caloric deficit. For most recreational strength training sessions under 75 minutes, intra-workout carbohydrates do not provide a performance advantage.
