The retraining protocol begins with the first two weeks at a significantly reduced volume and intensity compared to pre-break levels. Following this initial phase, the volume can progressively return to pre-break levels over the next 3-6 weeks, allowing most trainees to regain 80% of their prior performance by the end of week 6.
