What is the problem with training to failure on every set for beginners?

A

Training to failure on every set is problematic for beginners because it leads to systemic fatigue that can impair performance in subsequent sessions. Instead, leaving 2–3 reps in reserve allows for better motor learning and movement pattern reinforcement, as the last reps performed under fatigue can compromise biomechanics and reinforce poor habits.

This is one answer. The complete system — the psychology, the biology, and the method — is in the book.
