A

Caffeine primarily acts as a thermogenic compound by inhibiting phosphodiesterase, which increases levels of cAMP and subsequently enhances lipolysis. Additionally, it blocks adenosine receptors, reducing fatigue perception and increasing epinephrine release, leading to an increase in thermogenesis of approximately 80–150 kcal per day at a 400mg dose.
