If you have 90 or more minutes before your workout, a standard pre-workout meal consisting of 40–60g of carbohydrates and 30–40g of protein is ideal. An example would be oatmeal mixed with whey protein and a couple of scrambled eggs, totaling around 200–350 kcal.
