What does research say about CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) and its effects on body fat?
Research indicates that while CLA shows some anti-obesity effects in animal and cell studies, human randomized controlled trials reveal only a small reduction in body fat of approximately 0.1–0.5kg (1.1 lbs) over 12 weeks. Although statistically significant, this reduction is practically marginal, and there are concerns about adverse lipid effects at higher supplemental doses.
