What does it mean when lab results come back normal?

A

When lab results are labeled as 'normal,' it typically means they fall within the reference range defined for a healthy population. However, this range includes individuals who may have suboptimal metabolic function but show no symptoms, and it excludes the bottom 5% of healthy individuals. Therefore, a result at the high or low end of 'normal' may not indicate optimal health.

This is one answer. The complete system — the psychology, the biology, and the method — is in the book.
