How is natural GH secretion regulated?

From 5 years of verified research · Vassili Sandqvist
A

Natural GH secretion is regulated by the hypothalamus through two competing peptides: GHRH, which stimulates GH release, and somatostatin, which inhibits it. The largest pulse of GH occurs during the first phase of slow-wave sleep, approximately 1–2 hours after falling asleep.
