How does the degree of caloric deficit influence cold sensation?

A

The sensation of cold is dose-dependent on the caloric deficit. A mild deficit results in mild suppression of thermogenesis, while aggressive deficits, particularly those below 1,000 kcal/day or very low body fat percentages, lead to pronounced cold sensations as the body maximally conserves energy.
