How do you determine your caloric target before calculating macros?

Caloric targets are essential and should be calculated first. For maintenance, multiply your weight in kilograms by 25–30 kcal/kg. For fat loss, subtract 300 to 500 kcal from your maintenance level, while for muscle gain, add 250 to 350 kcal.
