Q

How do T3 and T4 hormones affect metabolism?

From 5 years of verified research · Vassili Sandqvist
A

T3 is approximately 3 to 5 times more biologically active than T4 and is responsible for determining body temperature and energy levels. When T3 and T4 levels are low, the body may enter a state of energy conservation, leading to weight gain and decreased energy. Conversely, high levels of these hormones can lead to hyperthyroidism, characterized by weight loss, irritability, and increased heart rate.

This is one answer. The complete system — the psychology, the biology, and the method — is in the book.
