Q

How can hypoglycemia cause dizziness during training?

A

Hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, can occur during high-intensity training lasting over 45–60 minutes, especially if one trains in a fasted state or hasn't consumed enough carbohydrates beforehand. When blood glucose levels drop below approximately 70 mg/dL, cognitive function declines, often resulting in dizziness. To mitigate this, consume 20–40g of carbohydrates 30–60 minutes before prolonged sessions.
